Global Arrogance and the Great Satan from Imam Khomeini's Perspective is the thirty-first volume of the Tebyan thematic works, which has been extracted and compiled by the Institute for Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works and published by the Oruj Printing and Publishing Institute. The United States as the leader of global arrogance, the United States and the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and strategic recommendations in fighting global arrogance are among the topics of this collection.

Content

Tebyan is a collection of works in which each volume gathers and publishes the positions and guidelines of Imam Khomeini concerning a specific topic, based on his writings, Sahifeh-ye Imam, and Sahifeh-ye Nur.[1] Its thirty-first volume is dedicated to "Global Arrogance and the Great Satan from Imam Khomeini's Perspective".

Arrogance is a way of thinking and a practical conduct of the powerful of wealth and force, and in Quranic terminology, it is a characteristic of infidelity that, through domination and self-aggrandizement, perceives others as weak and brings them under its domination. An arrogant and superiority-seeking spirit in the political structure of a society or a ruling system causes that dominating system to consider itself superior and higher than others, and to deem its own intellectual, belief, cultural, military, economic, and political foundations better than those of others, and to fight against them.[2]

In Imam Khomeini's view, since the most important main goals of America and arrogance in the region have been defending the position of Israel, plundering the economic reserves and resources of the countries in the region, and confronting face-to-face the belief values of the Muslims of Iran and the region, the unity of all Muslims can neutralize the conspiratorial policies of America.[3]

Structure

The book Global Arrogance and the Great Satan from Imam Khomeini's Perspective was extracted and compiled in the social group of the research department of the Institute for Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works, through the efforts of Alireza Hajizadeh and Mahmoud Darini. This book comprises four sections:

  • The first section, under the title of Global Arrogance, deals with the generalities and practical policies of arrogance in the world.
  • The second section presents America as the leader of global arrogance and addresses topics such as America as the Great Satan and America's policies in dealing with the Islamic World.
  • The third section examines the topic of America and the Islamic Revolution of Iran. In this section, America's confrontation with the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini's stance against America are presented.
  • The fourth section is dedicated to strategic recommendations in fighting global arrogance and the Great Satan.[4]

Features

In arranging the selected excerpts of each of the chapters and subheadings, the chronological order and sequence of their issuance by the Imam was the criterion of action, rather than the logical sequence of the materials, and the full details of the sources based on the serial number mentioned at the end of each index card are provided at the end of the book.[5]

The book Global Arrogance and the Great Satan from Imam Khomeini's Perspective has been printed many times, and its fourth edition is in the year 1394 Sh.
